Fibrin-Based Hydrogel Development Services
Fibrin-based hydrogel is one of the most promising natural polymers and has been widely used in biomedical applications since its introduction. Nevertheless, fibrin-based hydrogel faces many challenges. Matexcel, as an expert in hydrogel research and development, is committed to helping our customers overcome all the difficulties of fibrin-based hydrogel in biomedical research and clinical applications. We are looking forward to collaborating with our customers to jointly develop more application potential of fibrin-based hydrogel and to advance the biomedical business.
Introduction to Fibrin-Based Hydrogel
Fibrin is one of the extracellular matrix proteins that play a key function in regulating the interaction of growth factors with cells. In addition to its excellent plasticity, flexibility, and biocompatibility, fibrin can be equipped with ECM protein, cells, and various growth factors to promote damage repair. Thus fibrin-based biomaterials such as fibrin-based hydrogel are widely used for various applications in the biomedical field, such as wound repair and intraoperative hemostasis. Fibrinogen and thrombin are the main materials for synthesizing fibrin-based hydrogels, and the functional properties of fibrin-based hydrogels can be modified to fit different applications by controlling the ratio of fibrinogen to thrombin. Despite the advantages of modifiability, biocompatibility, and the ability to carry multiple cellular and therapeutic factors, the clinical application of fibrin-based hydrogels still faces challenges. Therefore, the structure and intrinsic potential of fibrin-based hydrogel still need further modification and improvement, and further exploration of the interaction between fibrin-based hydrogel and cells and therapeutic agents is worthwhile.
