It is commonly used to dry gases and polar liquids (such as methanol, ethanol) and easily polymerized substances such as unsaturated hydrocarbons (ethylene, propylene, acetylene and butadiene). 3A molecular sieve is used in industrial applications, especially in gas drying and liquid dehydration processes, because of its specific micropore diameter, it can selectively adsorb small molecules such as water molecules.
